What is this class about?

This class focuses on muscle growth and strength development. When we talk about building muscles, we are referring to a process called Muscle Hypertrophy. This term describes the increase in muscle cross-section due to the thickening and growth of muscle fibers. To promote muscle growth, our bodies need to experience more physical stress than what we are accustomed to in our daily activities. However, without consuming the right amount of nutrients to support this process, we will hardly see any results. In fact, in the worst-case scenario, we may even be at a higher risk of sustaining injuries.

My muscle-building training program spans six to eight weeks, depending on your availability to train. The training intensity ranges from 60% to 85%, and each training session lasts 35 to 60 minutes.

In this workout, you will find four to five different exercises and more. Each exercise consists of 12 repetitions and four sets with a 30 to 90-second break in between. The equipment you will mostly need for these training sessions includes:

  • Towel and water bottle
  • Pair of dumbbells weighing from 2.5 kg to 10 kg
  • Yoga mat
  • Heart monitor (if you have one)

Upon completing this program, I recommend taking a two-week break. During this time, it's important to remain active by engaging in lighter physical activities such as jogging, dancing, or going for long walks to maintain your overall fitness.
